The time has finally come to put up a couple of photo essays, featuring the trees, particularly the three varieties of oaks, on my property in Northern California, which I call Golden Eagle Oaks. The first group is on the uphill side, showing a number of rather remarkable “orbs” or circles of light. The second group, closer to the house on the downhill side, shows the “green-fire” efflorescence after the wettest winter on record that broke the worst drought in modern California history in the spring of 2017.
