I spent several months over the past winter (’24-25) doing additions, rewrites and some reorganization to my forthcoming book Revisioning Astrology, what will hopefully become my most ambitious statement of the need for an update and general rehab for the ancient astrology enterprise … within the context of the enormous amount of new material gotten from our Exotic Visitors (ETs, wisdom masters and celestial guests) about astrology, esoteric studies and the “philosophy of science of the spirit” generally.
It was a fair amount of work for what has seemed nonetheless like a valuable effort to try to pull it all together in the best way I could finally manage. July Loar, as companion, final proofreader, highly experienced astrologer and general confidant, has found many parts of the MS to be sufficiently well done and even impressive in order to finally be finished. I say it’s my “Hamlet’s Mill” book of almost 500 pages, which demands a lot of any prospective reader (let’s hope there are enough of them and it’s not my “Finnegan’s Wake”).
We are currently undergoing one of—if not the—most extreme revolutionary period(s) that I have ever witnessed in my lifetime (age 81) during this now second Trump era which picks up the Pluto Return of the U.S.A. chart where the first one left off before the Biden detour … and after the Bush-Cheney debacle on the political weirdness front before that. The only other comparable period was the infamous Sixties, when the Pluto-Uranus conjunction occurred during the Viet Nam War (with Saturn on the side). We are obviously in for a huge amount of fear, uncertainty and doubt (and maybe relief?), whatever our beliefs, attitudes or ideas may be going forward.
There is also a truly fundamental revolution of scientific paradigms afoot in the world of institutions and careers as a kind of major second ‘wave’ (!) of breakthroughs in quantum science, which is reverberating around the globe as Big Science, caught in various webs of political snares and intrigues, is being forced to re-assess the nature of consciousness and what the potential science to emerge thereof may be (“climate change,” too!). We are talking Quantum Cosmology here, the next phase of a major shift in the search for a Grand Unification or integration of the very large with the very small, being stealithy led by Nassim Haramein, who is highlighted in final chapters in the book.
But hey, this is the Exo-Planet Era and astrology should not be left behind in the dust of its many stages and transforms to finally reach the level of scientific rigor (not to demean any of the cultural richness always left in its wake) in the inimical Age of Aquarius—already famous for rationality and … science … if also somewhat oddly arrayed against various status quos and sacred cows that do need to come into the barn for some R&R: refreshment and refurbishment.
If you have any interest in the subject, either pro or con, you might want to have a look at Revisioning Astrology when it appears in another month or so (with the gods and goddesses willing!). It will be through Amazon as all my recent paperbacks and ebooks have gone out in recent times. As always—but especially for this book—I think the color version will be the needed choice (if I even get a B&W version done) because all the many astrology charts in the book, with their color-coded aspect lines, need the color key to be comprehensible. Reading astrology charts is a little like reading mathematics or music—the symbolism is very compressed and requires study to understand what has been cast forth, here explicitly in color (and possibly already scaled too small for a 6×9 book, but we’ll see …).
So, hip, hip … chin, chin … get ready for a book that may take a while to read, but will give you a lot to think about … if you are ready for it. May we offer blessings in any event and very best wishes for ‘life in blast lane’ for us all,
